🚀 Falcon 9 | 🛰 Starlink Group 6-75
Launch date: May 2, 2025 01:51 UTC
Payload: Starlink Group 6-75
Location: SLC-40, Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, Florida
Vehicle: Falcon 9
On May 2, 2025 at 01:51 UTC, SpaceX launched the Starlink Group 6-75 mission from SLC-40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. The proven Falcon 9 booster B1080 lifted a payload of 28 Starlink v2 Mini satellites—including Direct-to-Cell units—matching a record for the heaviest Starlink payload. The mission achieved a 43-degree inclination at 530 km and saw the booster successfully land on the droneship ‘Just Read The Instructions.’ This marked one of SpaceX’s highest-mass Starlink payloads, and was the 51st Falcon 9 launch and 34th dedicated Starlink flight of 2025, as well as the 248th Falcon 9 launch from SLC-40 and 469th overall. Favorable weather supported mission success, and the satellites will maneuver into their final orbits in the coming days.

SLC-40, Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, Florida, USA
Space Launch Complex 40 (SLC-40) is a historic launch site located at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida. Built in the 1960s, it was originally used for Titan III and Titan IV launches, supporting a variety of military, intelligence, and interplanetary missions. After a period of inactivity, SpaceX leased and extensively modified SLC-40 in the 2000s to launch Falcon 9 rockets.
Since becoming operational for SpaceX in 2010, SLC-40 has become a principal hub for commercial, governmental, and crewed missions aboard Falcon 9. The pad has seen dozens of launches annually, significantly contributing to America’s presence in space exploration, satellite deployment, and servicing the International Space Station.
